What to wear for your family portrait
The question we are asked most, and the answer matters more than most families expect.
Long sleeves and darker colors
Here is the reasoning, and it is the most useful thing to know before a session. Dark clothing recedes, so the eye travels straight to the face. Bright colors, bold patterns, and light clothing do the opposite — they pull attention to the clothes, and the portrait ends up being about the outfit instead of the person wearing it.

Coordinate, do not match
A family in identical white shirts and jeans reads as a uniform. Agree on a range of darker tones instead, and let each person choose something a little different within it. The group looks deliberate rather than staged.

At your home, or outdoors at locations like the Sonoran Desert, Sabino Canyon, or Reid Park. Family sessions are environmental portraits, made on location rather than in a studio.
Absolutely. Pets are part of the family, and we're happy to include them in your session.
Most sessions last 60–90 minutes, depending on family size and location.
Most sessions are ready for review within 1–2 weeks, with final edited portraits delivered shortly after selection.
