Privacy policy
What we collect, why, and what we do with it.
Effective August 14, 2026. This page explains what information Design Photography collects through this website, why, and what we do with it.
Who we are
Design Photography is a portrait and commercial photography business in Tucson, Arizona, owned and operated by Bob Hitchcock. You can reach us at (520) 298-7007 or through our contact page. Passport and visa photography is offered under the same ownership at TucsonPassportPhotos.com.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out the form on our contact page, we collect your name, phone number, email address, the service you are interested in, your timeline, and anything you write in the notes field. We collect this so we can respond to you and schedule a session. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not sell anything through this website.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours records basic technical information when you visit — the pages you view, roughly where in the world you are, the type of device and browser you use, and the site that referred you. We use this to understand which pages are useful and which are not.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website. Session bookings for minors are arranged by a parent or guardian.
Services we use
A few third parties handle parts of this website on our behalf. Each has its own privacy policy governing what it does with data.
| Web3Forms | Delivers our contact form submissions to our email. Your form entries pass through their service. |
|---|---|
| Google Analytics & Google Tag Manager | Tells us how many people visit and which pages they read. This uses cookies and similar technologies. |
| Google Fonts | Supplies the typefaces used on this site. Loading them involves a request to Google's servers. |
| Cloudflare | Delivers and protects this website. |
If we run advertising through Google or Meta, those platforms may also set cookies to measure whether an ad led to an enquiry.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or trade it. We do not share it with anyone except the service providers listed above, and only so they can perform the function described. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Photographs of you
How a session works. Bob will typically photograph around a hundred frames during your session. All of them go into a private online proof gallery for you to look through. Those proofs cannot be downloaded — they are there so you can choose. You have two weeks to tell us which ones you want, up to the number included in your package, and Bob takes those into full post-production. The proof gallery is then removed and replaced with a final gallery containing only your finished images, in full resolution and downloadable.
What happens after 60 days. The final gallery stays open for 60 days. Once it closes, your finished images and the unselected frames from the session are deleted. Download everything you want to keep before then. If you have a print order in progress when the window closes, we keep what we need to finish it.
Design Photography retains copyright in the photographs we create, and we may display selected images as examples of our work — on this website, in our portfolio, or in advertising.
If you would prefer that images of you or your family not be used publicly, tell us at any time, before or after your session, and we will honor it. That applies to photographs already published as well: ask us and we will take them down. For sessions involving anyone under 18, a parent or guardian can make that request on their behalf.
How long we keep things
Enquiries are kept as long as we may reasonably need them for follow-up and our business records. Viewing galleries close after 60 days, and session files are deleted at that point. If you would like your enquiry deleted, ask us and we will remove it.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call (520) 298-7007 or use the contact form. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, and Google offers a Google Analytics opt-out. Blocking cookies will not stop you from using this website.
